“Stylist” magazine have paid homage to Nigella, dedicating their upcoming issue, out tomorrow, to her entitling it “The Nigella Lawson Edition”.

Nigella will both grace the cover of the magazine and feature as guest editor for the issue.

The issue includes the feature article “My love affair with salted caramel”, and will also include ten completely new and exclusive recipes, as well as an additional four salted caramel recipes.

Nigella will also be taking part in an exclusive live web chat for “Stylist” magazine this thursday, 8 December 2011 from 1pm - 2pm GMT on this webpage, so you've still got a couple of days to think up your pressing questions to as her.

Nigella has recently revealed the she is working on a new book entitled “Nigellissima: Italian Express”, and that it is currently due for release in Autumn 2012.

The book is said to be an inspirational and practical Italian cookbook which will celebrate the simple, straightforward and unpretentiously authentic qualities at the heart of Italian cooking and will include 120 new recipes - from pasta dishes to desserts, from the traditional to the unfamiliar and will be illustrated with full-colour photographs.

We will, of course, keep you updated with new details of the book as and when they come to light - including the number of pages, release date and cover artwork.

"English roses graced the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday - but it was the ones in wide-brimmed hats, Helen Mirren and Nigella Lawson - that looked most spectacular.
Twiggy, Lulu, Ringo Starr, Piers Morgan and girlfriend Celia Walden, plus Laurence Llewellyn Bowen were among the celebs mopping the perspiration from the brows in 86f heat on press day at the annual Royal Horticultural Society event.
Gardener Alan Titchmarsh and chef Jamie Oliver were 'working' in the West London heat ahead of the arrival of the Queen, who dropped in late afternoon.
Following in her footsteps will be more than 150,000 visitors to the show, which has more than 600 exhibits this year."

Forever Summer DVD Release

Finally we see the release of Forever Summer with Nigella for the first time on DVD on it's on. It was previously released an as 'exclusive' on the 'Nigella' DVD boxset released in Australia last year.

Due for release on 14 April 2010 in Australia, the DVD features all episodes of the series lasting 184 minutes in duration.

Below is an update from Nigella regarding her upcoming book and an iPhone application that she's currently working on...

"I've been meaning to come on here for a while for a spot of work-shirking wittering; babbling is one of my weaknesses and pleasures, for all that my husband says it makes him miss crucial parts of plot every time we watch television. But every time I am about to write something here to add to a topic on the forum, someone phones, emails or stands over me (those elves can be evil!) to make me turn my attention to some pressing work issue. Well, THEY say it's pressing.... The book you know about, and I am having a lovely time writing it.

The thing about writing is that I feel great while I'm doing it, but panic-struck when thinking about it. You'd think, seven books in, I'd have learnt my lesson and proceed accordingly, but it doesn't seem to work like that.

Besides, I've had other things on my plate, so to speak: I have been working on an Iphone Application, or what we in Team Cupcake (which is the unofficial name my girls and I go by between ourselves) call the Nigellapp! As soon as I know when it will be released, of course I will tell you all before anyone else. But right now, I'm arming myself with a bar of chocolate and heading straight for my study to get back to my new book......"

Both the UK & US Amazon websites have a pre-order listing for Nigella Fresh (full title 'Nigella Fresh: Delicious Flavors on Your Plate All Year Round') due for release on 12 April 2010. The book has since been confirmed as a paperback re-release of 'Forever Summer' in the US.

The Canadian Amazon website has also listed a pre-order for 'Kitchen', which we can only assume is the working title for Nigella's upcoming book due for release this fall - with a release date of 12 October 2010.

We'll, of course, keep you updated with all of the details as they become available.

She'll be home for Christmas...

Here's what Nigella had to say on reflection on her recent US book tour...

"Well, I'm back from my whirlwind tour. I've just downloaded my pics and - true to form - I see that most of my photographs are of food. But then, I did eat some fabulous things.

I am too embarrassed to list them all, but let me give you the highlights. I think I mentioned, last week, the disco fries in Bill's in New York, but I failed to explain what they are: ultra crispy fries with gravy and gooey melted cheese - not haute cuisine, I'll grant you, but boy, did they hit the spot. For the rest, what I'm savouring in retrospect, is the white truffle risotto in Del Posto, the fresh ricotta bruschetta and the mixed fried seafood at Locanda Verde, and the whole darn menu, pretty well, at Casa Mono. That was New York.

Minneapolis proffered no eating opportunies, but that was just a matter of scheduling. Mostly, when I do book signings, they're at mealtimes, which seems a harsh irony. Still, I did get that fantastic bar of chocolate (made by a local artisanal chocolatier) I mentioned last week, so nothing really to complain about there! Kansas City yielded a breakfast quesadilla that was so gorgeous, I emailed a pic of it to my children (they have grown to understand me!) and Houston gave me - courtesy of Goode's - a BBQ brisket and pecan pie I will never, ever forget.

The apogee of it all, though, has to be my supper at the Watershed in Atlanta. I've had Scott Peacock's book on Southern food for ages, and it's a great book, but actually tasting his food is a whole nother experience! I dream now of 'pimenocheese', onion rings,shrimp grits with a pullman plank - think a slice of bread cut from the long side of a loaf then toasted - and gorgeous gumbo. Mind you, the memory of the bone-in fillet and onion rings (and the pic here is of me with one such onion ring) at the wonderfully named Bone's is a salivating-inducing souvenir that I treasure, too.

But much as I loved the food, what really made my visit was the people I met on my journey. Truly, my Christmas came early this year."

Nigella on her recent trip to the States

"I've been to the States for a couple of working visits recently, and although neither visit was very long, I spent my time profitably: that's to say, I concentrated on the food. Luckily, I've got a proper visa now - rather comically describing me as an Alien of Unique Worth or somesuch nonsense - but I've often found it hard to explain what I'm doing to the customs officials. The difficulty is it's not exactly business - generally just a bit of promo - but nor is it, strictly speaking, a holiday. In the end, I report honestly that whether my visit is predominantly work or pleasure, the real truth is, I go to America to eat. So, I feel I should report some of the highlights.

When in Las Vegas (and, no, I didn't fall victim to the gambling bug) I managed to find quite the most fabulous fried chicken. I was there to film an episode as a guest judge on Top Chef, so obviously I wasn't going to go hungry. And while I know that Vegas is stuffed with some of the world's best restaurants, it's never the upper echelons of cuisine that I want to investigate. Luckily, while I was having a massage (I had a couple of hours off and thought I'd try it, although usually it's not really my kind of thing) I interrogated Dawn the massage supremo at the M Resort about where best to eat real food. She told me about a hole-in-the-wall place called Cathy's Southern Fried Chicken and I followed her lead and was gratifyingly rewarded.

More recently, on a pit-stop tour in New York, I tried out some of the new buzzy places, the kind of see-and-be-seen restaurants that the city specialises in: to whit, the Minetta Tavern (and can reliably report that the marrow bones, the pig's trotter and the steak are utterly incredible, and I salivate as I remember them) and The Monkey Bar, a new joint that has become so ridiculously hot that you apparently can't even phone to make a reservation any more. And yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds. Luckily, I was with someone who has the sort of sway to get a table, and I had, quite frankly, the best hamburger of my life.

The funny thing is, a hamburger is so simple and yet is so hard to get right. Although I do make them at home sometimes, I have to be honest and say that they are not as good, not nearly as good, as the one I chowed down in New York recently. Luckily, the recipes all of you are loading up on this site are for the sort of food that really works at home, and for that I am greedily grateful!"

Nigella Contributes To School's Fundraising Cook Book

"Chef Gordon Ramsay is doing his part to help fundraising for the Boundary Oak School near Portsmouth in the south of England. The chef has contributed a recipe to the school cook book to help raise money for the school.
He even took his contribution to a new level by recruiting other celebrity chefs such as Gary Rhodes, Nigella Lawson, Nick Nairn and Phil Vickery to submit recipes.
The registrar at the school was pleased with the outcome saying, "It's been an incredibly successful project. A parent and member of the parent's association, Sarah Ironside, came up with the recipe book idea. It was thought a cookbook was a nice way of raising some money and something the children could really get involved with."
"It was then decided to contact some celebrity chefs. No one really expected to hear from them, but we were shocked when they started replying and saying yes. The children were thrilled to see their recipes alongside chefs they know from the TV. If all books sell, we're set to raise a fantastic amount."

"Sir Sean Connery and Nigella Lawson have the sexiest celebrity voices, according to a recent UK poll.

The James Bond star's Scottish lilt and the TV chef's British accent were favoured over the voices of Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.

Connery also topped the list for the accent that most men wanted to have, while most women voted Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley as having the ideal voice.

"Upper-crust tones are clearly what women desire for themselves, while men tend to aspire to the smooth and rugged action-man vocal style," said Tony Robinson of Spinvox, who commissioned the online poll.

Comedian Joe Pasquale was voted as having the most annoying male celebrity voice, narrowly beating David Beckham and Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who came second and third respectively.

Janet Street-Porter was named the most annoying female voice, beating Amy Winehouse into second place and Katie Price into third.

A total of 1,966 adults were polled online in December by Spinvox, a company which converts mobile phone voice messages to texts and emails."

'I would prefer to eat chips and curry sauce for Christmas'

Her latest Christmas cookbook includes recipes such as chestnut soup with bacon crumbles, lamb and date tagine, and gleaming maple cheesecake.

But Nigella Lawson has revealed that she would be happy to settle for chips and curry sauce over the festive period.

The woman known as the domestic goddess was speaking about the pressure many women are under to produce the perfect Christmas.

She said those who do not like cooking would be better off getting on with the parts of Christmas they do enjoy.

'You don't have to do the whole domestic goddess thing to revel in the solace of the hearth,' she said.

'If you want to put up fairy lights everywhere and then get pizza delivered, that's absolutely OK by me. I'd never say no to chips and curry sauce - I have very low tastes. Just that, a nice drink and some nice friends and I'd be happy.'

The TV cook, 48, also admitted that she was in part embarrassed about the effect her domestic goddess tag - which came from the name of her first book - had on other women in the kitchen. 'The argument has become so polarised,' she said.

'Either you're a bitch who spends too long in the office and never sees your children, or you're some little throwback wanting to make things nice in the kitchen.

'And, of course, in real life women are both. Or neither. You have to find a way of integrating those two sides of yourself. Otherwise you go mad.'

She admitted that it was 'an incredibly high-pressure time of year for women', claiming the combination of cooking and family was 'enormously incendiary'.

The TV cook said in the latest edition of Radio Times: 'I think it would be an extreme act of cruelty to imply that you can have a stress-free Christmas. Because there's no such thing.

'Wrapping presents, for example, is the thing that sends me over the edge. I always get my hair stuck under the sellotape, which is disgusting for the person opening the present. And it's not always possible to get succour from someone on television saying, "Well, I find this terribly easy!".

'So there are times when I am very strict with viewers and say, "You will feel hysterical. You will feel stressed out and exhausted and I can't do anything about that".' Following the release of her book Nigella Christmas last month it was claimed sales of maple syrup have rocketed. The book includes recipes for maple roast parsnips and turkey.

The 'Nigella effect' has previously been credited with increasing the popularity of prunes, pomegranates and goose fat to roast potatoes.

Nigella hits out at "dingbat" critics

Nigella Lawson has branded newspaper reporters "dingbats" for claiming that she deceived viewers.

An article published in the Daily Mail last year revealed that segments portrayed as being filmed at Lawson's home were not shot at her house in London's Eaton Square.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Lawson said: "There are two very different things. There's deceit, and there's artifice or illusion - like when you go to the theatre.

"I think there was a lot of bad faith in the television world at that time. I'm sure there were certain malpractices that were indefensible, but instead of just addressing these, the hysteria was spread across the board.

"I felt like saying, 'Listen, dingbats, viewers are not idiotic'. When I say on TV, 'This cake takes 20 minutes to bake' and then one minute later it's ready, what do they think I have done? Do they think I have some kind of Time Lord qualities?"

The TV chef also defended her Nigella Express series for using extras on a hired bus.

"Would they prefer that I went on a real red bus and made everyone on it two hours late for their appointments while I got on and off for the third time because the lighting wasn't right?" she said.

"It's very odd, because I'm not making a documentary."

“Piccadilly” In-Store Report

Here are some photographs (taken by myself) from this evening's in-store book signing at Waterstone's Piccadilly in London, as well as a run-down of the event itself.

Waterstone's staff were handing out star-shaped christmas biscuits featured in Nigella Christmas (possibly made by Nigella herself) prior to the signing to us waiting outside in the rain. Sadly there wasn't as big a turnout as anticipated (which was good for us but not so much for Nigella herself).

According to staff there, the photocall was due to start at 17.15, and the signing itself from 17.30, however, it ended up that the photocall was moved forward to 17.05 and the signing starting earlier at 17.15.

The set-up where Nigella was signing was beyond stunning, with a huge advertisement promoting the appearance in the background with fake snow scattered all over the floor, a red sleigh full of gifts and a stunning Nigella dressed in a classic black and white get-up.

Anyway, as promised here are my photographs from the signing and I hope to get some of the photos from the photocall uploaded as an when I get them (if at all).

Signe Langford:What prompted you to write a Christmas

cookbook at this stage in your career?

Nigella Lawson: It was the weirdest thing! I never plan much. I kind of think: What would be fun to do, what would I like to do and what would be realistic to do? I wanted to do something that I would actually enjoy. And I love winter food, to be honest, because, after all, that's what a lot of it is; it's unapologetically full-throated. I realized what I wanted to do when I was in Selfridges' Christmas department and I bought far too much for someone who has enough clutter in her life, and I realized that subconsciously, I was propping up for a book I hadn't consciously decided to do yet. I thought if that's what I was doing, I really wanted to do the book.

SL: What is your own most favourite Christmas moment? And what is your least favourite?

NL: I'm probably completely deluding myself because it always ends up in a bit of a squabble between the children, but still I think for me it's when we make the edible Christmas tree decorations. The least favourite is wrapping up. I go completely deranged wrapping up. I end up like Peter Sellers' Clouseau. I've got cello tape stuck on one arm and paper everywhere, and I get my hair stuck in some of the wrapping. It's just a disaster

SL: Do you have any essential kitchen tools, utensils or equipment that you couldn't face Christmas without?

NL: Well, my KitchenAid mixer. I don't need it, but I like to have it because if I've got something in the KitchenAid, it frees me up to be laying the table at the same time. And a food processor, for all the chopping. And the mezza luna. I use it a lot because it chops and washes up quickly. And also, for me, a lovely big carving board is a really useful tool. Because when you bring in the food, there's something about it looking somehow spectacular in a rather warming Dickensian way.

SL: Why do you think Christmas is so stressful?

NL: I think one of the reasons is because you have cooking and then you bring in family, and it's a very combustible combination because we feel so criticized by our family. I mean, we love our families -- that's what it's all about and they can be very supportive, and all that's true -- but at the base of it there's always some eruption, some grievance that comes from when you were 12. And you're tired, there's a lot to get done and maybe you're drinking more. So that's why I think you really do need to make things easy on yourself. That's why I included my make-ahead tips.

SL: Have you ever shed tears over a turkey?

NL: Oh, I've shed tears, but I'm more of a "I can't bear it!" I'm more for slamming the kitchen door, very melodramatic, but not in front of other people.

SL: Do you have any culinary dirty secrets?

NL: Marmite. And I use chicken stock concentrate from a bottle. People always say: What are your guilty pleasures? And I always say: "Why would I feel guilty about pleasure?" Not being Catholic, I don't need to. I'm Jewish, we're guilty about everything else.

The domestic goddess takes our tastebuds on a tour of exotic locations without having to leave the house.

"With the prospect of vivid, intensely flavoured summer food, I don’t even need to go on holiday: my kitchen at home becomes a giddy whirl of exotic locations.

At one moment, it’s transported – and me along with it – to a fishing village in the Aegean for grilled sardines and a lemon salsa (featured here), then to a slatted table under a sunshade in Italy for garlic, olive and pepper confetti-ed mozzarella; to some gorgeous Iberian spot for Serrano ham, fig and red-leaf salad; and eastwards for Vietnamese chicken and mint salad, sesame peanut noodles and a spiky pink-lamb salad (also featured)."

Anglo-Asian lamb Salad

"I love the tangy fire of Thai cooking; I also love the traditionally English partnership of lamb with redcurrant and mint. I just happened, one day, because of what I had in the kitchen, to bring the two together. Consider it an ovine reworking of those hot-and-sour beef salads of south-east Asia. A lamb loin is the fleshy component, though any lean cut of lamb would do. Redcurrant jelly stands in for the sweetness of palm sugar and I use rice vinegar instead of lime juice. Grilled Sardines with Lemon Salsa

But if neither sardines, nor a fishmonger to fillet them, are available, know that this lemon salsa is terrific with any fish – and indeed most meats. Most often I use mint in this; sometimes I replace it with coriander: occasionally I use both. I don’t think there’s a way this could taste bad. Filming 'Nigella Express'

Here is one man's story of his experience of the filming of 'Nigella Express' in his workplace in winter 2007... His attitude towards Nige isn't the nicest but nonetheless he managed to take some nice photos.

"I help out a couple of great guys on their fish stall twice a week, and they got asked to put their stall in "Partridges" of Sloane Square (it's actually Kings Rd ex Chelsea Barracks) but Sloane Square sounds better...bloody Estate agents, all in aid of Nigella Lawson's cooking program.

After a hour and half we thought she
wasn't coming and proceeded to start drin
king etc. :-) lo and behold nearly two hours late she turned up sans film crew and all..I was outside and had decided to take a photo of the shop when this arrogant guy starts shouting at me, "who are you what are you doing here? get out of the way you've ruined my shot !!!"
I explained A. it's a public place and there were no indications that there was any one filming, B. that I was part of the team they had come to shoot."The guy then says ok but get out of the way as they are trying to film Nigella Lawson walking into the shop, Who? says I "she's a famous chef" he says (it turns out she`s the one one walking into the shop in the "Partridges" photo)

After another couple of hours they had filmed her
going around various other counters and turns up at ours to buy a couple of bits of Monkfish, Oh, and she doesn't carry cash she has a weasely little guy for this that just follows her around and pays for things.

The film crew got upset with my shirt as it detracted the focus from Nigella in her frumpy outfit complete with trainers.

They filmed, she posed for a couple of photos, and then they all went away. In light of recent publicity in the media, No, none of us were actors ;)

But the fish is either going to be replaced at a later date, or she is freezing and then thawing it out, as the filming is not finished till mid November."

Nigella Lawson Web Page Spreads Malware

"ScanSafe, company that specializes in providing Internet Security solutions, has recently revealed that the web page for popular British cook Nigella Lawson came under hacker attack, first detected at the beginning of the week. It is believed that visitors to the previously mentioned site may have been infected with malware, which is why ScanSafe recommends running a complete scan on your systems in order to make sure you have not been infected.

Eldar Tuvey, Chief Executive of ScanSafe comments: "High-profile websites such as Nigella Lawson's must realize that they are becoming an appealing target for these cybercriminals. The compromise of legitimate and trusted websites has contributed to a 278 per cent increase in web-based malware for the first half of the year."

The ScanSafe researcher who detected the problem is the previously mentioned Eldar Tuley. It seems that it was an SQL injection attack that allowed the hacker to install malware, a Trojan included, on the web page. According to Eldar Tuley, the number of SQL injection related hacks has increased by 212%, making them "the most common form of website compromise".

According to ScanSafe, similar attacks have been reported lately. Hackers opt to target high-profile, well-known web pages in order to propagate their malware, as opposed to redirecting users to infected sites. Security experts have always warned about the risks associated to visiting dodgy sites, but it seems that not even trusted pages are safe anymore.

People who have visited the Nigella Lawson web page this week are well advised to update their antivirus software and run a complete system scan. It is also a good idea to check and see that the browser you are using is fully patched and updated.

Nigella Lawson is well known in the UK for the cooking show that aired on Channel 4, called "Nigella Bites". She also hosted a similar show in the US, called "Nigella Feasts". As of 2007, she has been signed by BBC Two, and she currently presents a cooking series called "Nigella Express". Nigella is the daughter of Lord Nigel Lawson, the former British Cabinet Minister."

Nigella tops gay survey

"Nigella Lawson has been voted the TV chef British lesbians would most like to share a romantic dinner with.
The sexy cook scooped a whopping 65 per cent of the vote from lesbians surveyed by gay dating website gay-PARSHIP.co.uk, while Delia Smith came second with just 15 per cent of the vote.
Jamie Oliver was the celebrity chef gay British men would most like to date with 38 per cent of the vote, closely followed by Gordon Ramsay, who was the favourite of 24 per cent of the men surveyed.
Adrian Gillan, gay-PARSHIP spokesman, said: "Nigella and Jamie should be particularly thrilled to melt the hearts of such an attentive audience. Perhaps Delia could savour a dash more sauce to get the al fresco frisky this summer. And Gordon Ramsay may be a tad too alpha-male for some gay tastes."
The top five fancied female chefs included Rachel Allen with nine per cent, Nancy Lam and Rustie Lee both with four per cent and Fat Lady Clarissa Dickson Wright with just two per cent.
The other men favoured in the poll were Marco Pierre White with 13 per cent, Gary Rhodes with 12 per cent, Rick Stein with 11 per cent and Antony Worrall Thompson way behind with only three per cent of the vote."

TV cook Nigella Lawson confesses to bum filming ban

"Nigella Lawson has admitted she bans cameramen from filming her bottom.

The curvy mum-of-two, 48, is credited with making TV cooking shows sexy.

But quizzed about the subject, she said: "There's a rule... no one's allowed to shoot my bum unless it's out of focus. Not if they want me to be nice and feed them."

Speaking to fellow foodie Nigel Slater for his new series A Taste Of My Life, Nigella also reveals she did not enjoy growing up until she left home for Oxford University. She added: "I was always quite shy but I got liberated. I developed a love of feeding people. I cooked for everyone."

On Tuesday's show on BBC2, Nigel and Nigella serve her favourite food including jam roly-poly and pasta with clams."

James Martin, celebrity chef and host of 'Saturday Kitchen', announced on today's episode of the programme that it was the last time the programme would be airing Nigella's programmes for "a while", maybe it'll return in the future... who knows?

"Nigella says she's not a chef or a professional cook - she's someone who loves food. She writes books about food and she suffers having an entire TV crew in her house so she can demonstrate how to make delicious food in her own kitchen. It takes a week to film an episode and it's not all smooth sailing -Nigella describes herself as clumsy and someone who grates her fingers and drops food on the floor! But the crew don't have much to complain about, there's so much food around Nigella makes sure they each go home with a parcel at the end of the day.

Such is the international interest in her that it seems she can't go out of the house without her every move being scrutinised and analysed for what it might say about modern life. Nigella says she avoids being driven mad by the amount of stuff written and said about her because she just doesn't read it. "If you believed all the good things you'd be a monster and if you believed the bad things you'd be a wreck".

Her friends can't believe she eats in bed without a tray! "You've got no idea how disgusting my sheets are and in fact by my bedside table I've got my (sea) salt, a jar of English mustard, I've got my little thing of tabasco, soy sauce -cos there's nothing more annoying than settling yourself in then having to go downstairs to go and get something!"

Aussie blokes swoon in Nigella's wake

"The tidal wave that is Nigella Lawson - domestic goddess, cook, author and TV star - hit town this week and swept the male population before her. Or at least that salivating section of the population in the 700-strong audience at the Herald Dymocks literary lunch in the ballroom of the Sofitel Wentworth hotel yesterday.

It was an event that, the organisers said, could have sold out three times over. One attendee said he had heard of people offering a kidney to get a ticket. All in jest, of course, but no doubt Lawson would have had the perfect recipe for it.

It was a whirlwind tour. Just two days of publicity in Sydney for her new book, Nigella Express, carved from a family holiday with her children, Cosima and Bruno. Two radio spots in the morning yesterday, then the literary lunch. And, sandwiched between them, 10 minutes in a car with me. Lucky old Nigella.

In the previous interview, an hour with ABC Radio's Richard Fidler, she had confessed that making a cooking show here would remain an unfulfilled dream because she would miss her children and husband, Charles Saatchi, too much.

But, hypothetically, if it were to go ahead, what would be in such a show?

"Oh, I think what would interest me most would be the fantastic ingredients here. And the backdrop, of course, which is spectacular. I also think that people don't understand how much Australian food and food writing has influenced the UK.

"We used to get an Australian magazine called, I think, Vogue Entertaining + Travel. For us it was quite revolutionary. It looked beautiful, the writing was intelligent and fresh, and every single book designer and editor in London had read it. Its influence was far ahead of its time.

"And it was through that that I came across people like Stephanie Alexander and her phenomenal Cook's Companion book, and Maggie Beer, too, who is fantastic. You'll also see a picture of my larder in the front of the book and there's some lovely olive oil from Dee Nolan's family farm in South Australia."

While Lawson has visited some of Sydney's more iconic foodie destinations, such as Doyles at Watsons Bay, and Icebergs, Pompeii's Pizza and Sean's Panaroma in Bondi, her son's enduring memory, she says, her eyes widening at the thought of it, will be of the deep-fried Mars Bar on offer at George Dimitrios's Bondi Surf Seafoods."

The curvy cook has apparently started a healthy new regime, including eating a more vegetarian diet, to keep her figure fabulous.
A friend said: “Nigella has been secretly meeting a personal trainer to do an aerobic workout session tailored to help her get back into shape," a friend said.
“She has already lost quite a bit of weight and is also adapting her diet."
